Helps parents, caregivers and communities in Summit County create quality early learning opportunities for young children.
Big Books
Oversized picture books from pre-school through primary grades. Check out the database to see what classic children’s tales are available in giant sizes for your use!
Kits for Kids
A unique resource provided by the Children’s Library. Kits for Kids are bags filled with a variety of books, activities, and more. This little bag of tricks is organized around a specific theme, with six books, activity sheets, CD’s or DVD’s, and pieces to play and learn with.
Picture Book Database
A special database developed by the Children’s library that enables a subject search of children’s picturebooks available at the library. Author and title search is also available. A good resource for themed activities.
Reading Rockets
Learn how to encourage reading with your child(ren). Provides lists and videos to help caregivers learn about children’s authors, find books with a specific theme, or find award winning books.
Starfall
Learn to read with phonics. Provides online interactive phonics activities for kids. Lesson plans for teachers, including a Kindergarten Reading and Language Arts Curriculum.
United Disability Services Toy and Resource Center
The Toy & Resource Center is a toy lending library that loans developmental toys and resource materials to anyone working with a child from birth to six years of age, whether he or she has special needs or is typically developing.
